I have had the Maverick boots for over 2 years now, and they have held up beautifully. I wear them at least every other day, but some times as often as 5 days a week, and they have only become more comfortable with age. They were very stiff when I first got them, owing to their cow leather, but have since softened up and molded to my food. Though they are a few years old, the sole is still looking good, and I haven't gained any scuffs that I couldn't polish out with some mink oil. I bought these because I wanted a very durable pair of boots that I didn't have to baby, and these have held up better than I couldn't imagine. I'm going to be in the market for another pair of boots soon, and while my price point has made it possible for me to get a pair of luccheses or rio's, I will probably just get another pair of these and keep one as more of a dress boot, and the other as a beater.
I also have the Capistranos, and they have held up beautifully as well, though while they retain a very elegant look with the calf skin, I think they would be the perfect pair of boots if they came in a thicker cowhide as well. Ranch Road makes some really excellent boots, and if you get a pair, they will last you a long time,…
