Great boots. I normally wear Beck handmade boots in Amarillo, but the sole of the Calhoun Cognac boots intrigued me. I made a good decision and the boots were comfortable right out of the box. They are well made and the sole is awesome. I would definitely buy another pair of boots from Ranch Road.
Went with a half-size bigger and they fit perfect. Wore them at a speaking event and all eyes were on me, ha.
I will first of all state that Sarah, in our emails and phone conversations, went well beyond the norm to answer my questions and make sure I knew as much about the the boot as possible prior to the purchase of my first pair of Ranch Road boots - the Calhoun Cognac style. Thank you Sarah. I received the boots a week ago (08/01/19). I was very satisfied with their appearance out of the box. I have worn these boots both on the street and in the dirt over the first week. They are comfortable and easy to get on and off. The length is true to the size that I normally wear in an American and/or Mexican made boot but the heel is a bit looser than I had hoped. I anticipate that the heel will conform and loose some of the slip with more use, as I have experienced with my other brands of boots. The boot shaft, instep, and vamp fit my legs and feet very well. After a few days of wear, I treated the leather with a quality Neatsfoot oil and to my surprise and disappointment the application dauber absorbed some of the leather dye from the boots and when dry it was apparent the boots were lighter in their color giving them a more used look. Initially, I am very satisfied with these boots and can add more comment in a few months.

By far the best boot I’ve purchased. Comfortable and a look that can’t be recreated.
I’m extremely pleased with my recent purchase. I would recommend these boots for their style, quality, and comfort.
